Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a classified program for the National Geospatial Agency in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The team seeks an experienced engineer to support an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle program by developing Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and leading test, integration, and design efforts.Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCILocation: Rancho Bernardo, CA (100% on-site)Application opens on 5/16/2025. • Gather requirements from the customer and analyze needs.
• Collaborate with software and system test teams to develop CONOPS.
• Lead integration and testing of software baselines.
• Create technical documentation such as user guides and sprint plans.
• Design and implement systems administration solutions.
• Manage software upgrades and patches.
• Develop scripts or applications to automate tasks.
• Suggest improvements for stability, security, and efficiency.
• Work with teams to create automation strategies and deployment processes.Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in UI design and development.
• Experience with DoD or Intelligence Community customers.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools like Git.
• Knowledge of open architectures, interfaces, and geospatial data.
• Extensive Linux knowledge, especially RedHat.
• Understanding of VMWare and virtualization.
• Scripting skills in Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Experience managing remote systems via command line.Compensation:

• Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000+ depending on experience.
