Job Title: Part-Time Program Aide
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $18 - 19 per hour
About Inter-Tribal Sports
Unifying tribal youth and communities through structured athletic programs while providing resources and fostering culture, leadership, and wellness. Our core sports include basketball, flag football, softball, and soccer, with additional programs like All-Star Travel Basketball Teams, Dream Catchers Cheer, and Cross Country. Seasons start with sports camps, followed by games and championships.
Summary
Serve as the on-site contact for league and event locations, assist with registration and data collection, disseminate information, and coordinate with officials, coaches, and volunteers. Ideal for college students with flexible weekends.
Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site contact for the organization at league and event locations.
  
• Assist with site setup, registration, and participant eligibility verification.
  
• Distribute information and complete necessary forms and reports.
  
• Maintain safety supplies, attend to minor injuries, and log incidents.
  
• Ensure facilities are safe and programs are on schedule.
  
• Enforce league rules and manage equipment.
  
• Provide game results and coordinate activities.
  
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and other duties as assigned.
  
  Additional Responsibilities

• Staff the organization's booth, sell merchandise, and assist with fundraising.
  
  Knowledge and Skills Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
    
  • Knowledge of sports rules, terminology, and coaching strategies.
    
  • Computer proficiency with email, internet, and Microsoft Word.
    
  • Familiarity with Native American culture and sports experience preferred.
    
  • Good communication, assertiveness, and self-confidence.
    
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or obtain within 90 days).
    
  • Valid Class C California Driver's License.
    
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
    
  • Professional conduct, reliability, and independence.
    
    Working Conditions
    Work primarily outdoors in recreation facilities, exposed to weather conditions. Must have stamina for long periods sitting or standing, and occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
    Native Preference
    Preference is given to Native Americans from the communities served, then outside communities, then others, in accordance with organizational policy.
