Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist in an elementary school setting located in Yuma, AZ. This K-8 itinerant position offers a contract through the current school year, ending May 27, 2026. The role requires hands-on involvement working onsite to support students' developmental needs and promote their educational success. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations, delivering both direct and indirect occupational therapy services, and actively participating in IEP meetings to discuss eligibility and develop customized treatment plans. The therapist will collaborate closely with educators and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment tailored to each student. Key qualifications and requirements: Valid Arizona State Occupational Therapy License issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification IVP fingerprint clearance card Experience in school-based occupational therapy, preferably serving K-8 students Strong skills in conducting assessments, evaluations, and providing individualized therapy interventions Ability to work full-time onsite and manage an itinerant caseload Location: Yuma, Arizona onsite only at an elementary school Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract duration: Immediate start through May 27, 2026 This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational journey of young learners by applying expert occupational therapy practices within a collaborative school environment.
