Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leader in global retail with a dedicated focus
on health and wellness, is seeking a qualified Staff Pharmacist to
join our healthcare team. Offering a $25,000 sign-on bonus and
relocation assistance, we provide an opportunity to excel in a
dynamic pharmacy setting within our hypermarket locations. The
successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and
effective dispensation of medications and providing exceptional
care to our diverse customer base. Review and process
prescriptions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations. Provide accurate medication dispensation, adherence to
therapy management, and timely drug utilization reviews. Offer
patient counseling and education on prescriptions, OTC medications,
and lifestyle adjustments conducive to health improvement.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient treatment
plans and outcomes. Maintain records of all medications in
accordance with regulation and company policies. Administer routine
vaccinations as permitted by state regulations. Supervise pharmacy
technicians and interns ensuring compliance with all applicable
laws and store policies. Participate in health promotion and
disease prevention activities like community health screenings.
Proficient in pharmacy information systems Strong organizational
and communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to
multitask Comprehensive knowledge of FDA health regulations Solid
understanding of pharmacological substances and compounding
procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Current and clean pharmacist licensure in the state
of operation. Certification to administer immunizations as required
by the state. Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS)
certification preferred.
