Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, evenings, nights - Employment Type: Travel Emergency Room Unit Summary - Department: Emergency Room - Trauma Level: Level III trauma, STEMI, and stroke receiving - Note: Patients requiring stroke intervention are transferred out - Required Trauma Experience: At least 2 years ER experience including Level I or II trauma (within past 3 years); candidates with only Level III or lower will not be accepted - Gunshot/Stabbing Experience Required Facility Details Start Date: 7/28 (Start dates are not flexible) Radius Rule: 100 miles – strictly enforced EMR: Epic (must have proficiency within last 2 years) Profile Submittal: Follow ASC's checklist strictly – Onvida Health has stringent profile requirements Unit Details - - Beds: 52 total with 4 trauma bays - Fast Track: Yes – 6 beds - Triage Area: Yes – 2 quick-look areas using ESI - ER Holds: Intermixed within the ER - Psych Rooms: No dedicated seclusion rooms - Security: In-house 24/7 (located in ER) - Daily Volume: ~200 patients/day - Ratios: 1:5 (medical), 1:6 (fast track) Staffing & Support - Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - Preferred: TNCC - Common Diagnoses: Broad emergency medical/surgical presentations - Common Drips: ICU-level gtts for holds; ICU team may assist - Physician Coverage: MDs, Mid-levels, Peds-certified on shift - Charge RN: None; House Supervisor support available - Support Staff: - ED Techs (2 years): EKG, vitals, blood draws, splints - PCAs (<2 years): Same duties as techs - Respiratory Therapy: In-ER 24/7; handles ABGs, vents, CPAP - RT Equipment: Glidescope, Hamilton & Phillips vents - Tele/Monitoring: RN reads own strips monitor techs - Radiology: Dedicated CT and X-ray in ER; transport team available - Lab Draws: Performed by ED Techs or RNs (no phlebotomy) Scheduling & Orientation - - Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week block - Holiday Requirement: 2 of the 5 major holidays (including eves) - Floating: Possible to Foothills freestanding ER (15 mins away); usually pre-scheduled - Orientation: - 1 day NEO - 1 day Clinical/EPIC - 1 day Floor Orientation - Scrub Color: Navy Blue - No Block Scheduling - No 48-Hour Guarantee - Max RTO: 5 days T4H259 About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
