Description & QualificationsMTC Medical and the Imperial Regional Detention Facility are seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to serve in the role of Director of Nursing (DON) to direct the management of nursing services and the supervision of the ancillary clinical staff in the medical unit. Just a few of the duties the DON will undertake are:

• Execute physician's orders, dispensing and administering meds, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients
• Monitor medical unit and act as a resource for staff
• Assure adequate coverage on all shifts; fill in when necessary; monitor call-ins and use of OT; Assume on-call status for staff issues; assume on-call status in absence of HSA
• Conduct in-services, audits, chart reviews, statistical evaluations, and changes in policy/procedure
• Oversee sick call, medication administration and other clinical activitiesOur medical team a Imperial is committed to caring for our detainees. An excellent work ethic, solid clinical skills and even a sense of humor lend themselves quite nicely to this role.
  Education and Experience Requirements:Completion of an Accredited Registered Nursing program and a minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience with one (1) year supervisory experience. Must be a licensed registered nurse in the state of California. Must possess current CPR certification. Valid driver's license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
