Description & QualificationsMTC Medical and the Imperial Regional Detention Facility are seeking a dynamic--Director of Nursing (DON)--to direct the management of nursing services and the supervision of the ancillary clinical staff in the medical unit. Just a few of the duties the DON will undertake are:* Execute physician's orders, dispensing and administering meds, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients* Monitor medical unit and act as a resource for staff* Assure adequate coverage on all shifts; fill in when necessary; monitor call-ins and use of OT; Assume on-call status for staff issues; assume on-call status in absence of HSA* Conduct in-services, audits, chart reviews, statistical evaluations, and changes in policy/procedure* Oversee sick call, medication administration and other clinical activitiesOur medical team a Imperial is committed to caring for our detainees. Education and Experience Requirements:Completion of an Accredited Registered Nursing program and a minimum of three (3) years professional nursing experience with one (1) year supervisory experience.--Must be a licensed registered nurse in the state of California.--Must possess current CPR certification.--Valid driver's license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.WHAT WE OFFERCareer Advancement through training and development.
