Multifamily Construction Location: San Diego, CA Salary: $125,000 –
$165,000 per year (DOE) About This Role We are seeking an
experienced Construction Project Manager to lead ground-up
multifamily residential construction projects throughout San Diego
County . This role is ideal for a hands-on construction
professional who can successfully manage scope, schedule, budget,
and team coordination from preconstruction through closeout while
navigating local and state regulatory requirements. Position
Summary The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of
multifamily construction projects, serving as the primary point of
contact between ownership, design teams, consultants, and field
operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge,
proactive problem-solving, and the ability to lead teams in a
fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, manage, and
forecast project budgets, including cost controls and change
management Review architectural and engineering drawings for
constructability, coordination, and value optimization Coordinate
permitting and inspections with the City of San Diego, County of
San Diego, and applicable state agencies Lead weekly site and OAC
meetings; proactively resolve issues and support safety compliance
Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and detailed
project reporting Manage procurement and delivery of materials,
including long-lead items Drive quality control, milestone
tracking, and on-time project execution Maintain strong
communication with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and
subcontractors Partner closely with superintendents and field teams
to align scope, schedule, sequencing, and execution Support and
mentor Assistant Project Managers as assigned Promote a
collaborative, safety-first culture across all job sites
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil
Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5–10
years of experience managing multifamily construction projects,
preferably in Southern California Strong knowledge of construction
means and methods, materials, and California building codes
Familiarity with San Diego–area permitting and inspection processes
preferred Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills OSHA
